Even though there are many large land animals in the world, rhinoceroses are the second largest land mammals in the world. Isn’t that amazing?

Now, why are rhinoceroses the second largest land mammals in the world?

The reason why is because of the size their gene inhabiting growth lets them to reach. They can weigh up to 2,300 kilograms.

The reason why is because this gives a good protection against predators like lions and leopards since keratin is really strong and is made up of specialized skin cells from layers and that makes the horn very strong.

Even though they look like their more related to large animals like elephants or hippopotamuses, hippopotamuses can’t swim or float. Isn’t that amazing?

The reason is that both rhinoceroses and tapirs belong in the order Perissodactyls along with horses.

The reason why is because they both get something good as results of having a symbiotic relationship. In this case: the oxpeckers eat up any parasites they find on the rhinoceros’ body and they also warn the rhinos if any predator approachs. So the oxpeckers get food while the rhinoceros gets clean and is always aware of danger.
