Even though many animals are fast, cheetahs reach a speed of 72 miles per hour. Isn’t that amazing?

Now, why can cheetahs reach a speed of 72 miles per hour?

The reason why cheetahs can reach a speed of 72 miles per hour is because of their light bodyweight, long legs and flexible spine. Anyways, it can only obtain this speed for 49 seconds.

2. Cheetahs have amazing eyesight.

Even though cats can see at night, cheetahs have amazing eyesight but can’t see at night. Isn’t that amazing?

The reason cheetahs have amazing eyesight is because of the tears at its eyes. They are not real tears but their absorb the sun’s light at its eyes so they can see further and find predators and their prey.

Even though many big cats are strong, cheetahs are the weakest of all big cats. Isn’t that overwhelming.

The reason why cheetahs are the weakest of big cats is because they were only built for speed. The muscles they have aren’t as strong as the muscles of other big cats.

5. Cheetahs are either solitary or social.

Even though almost all cats are solitary, cheetahs are either solitary or social. Isn’t that amazing?

Now, why are cheetahs either social or solitary?

The reason why cheetahs are either social or solitary is because it depends on the gender. Female cheetahs are solitary and only take care of their cubs for two years. Male cheetahs are social staying together from the moment they are born and once they mate, they leave the female.

6. Cheetah cubs are as fast as a lion when they can run.

Even though many baby cats don’t have much speed, cheetah cubs run as fast as a lion when they can run. Isn’t that amazing?

The reason why cheetah cubs run as fast as a lion when they can run is because all the features needed for running are ready to go. But as they grow up, the features increase in power which makes them faster. Tigers can go for days without eating!

The reason why cheetahs can go without water for a week is because of the environment. The habitat of cheetahs doesn’t contain much water, so cheetahs are adapted to it and they won’t die of thirst like people.

Even though a few cats have many spots(dots on the surface), cheetahs have 3,000 spots. Isn’t that amazing?

Now, why do cheetahs have 3,000 spots?

The reason why cheetahs have 3,000 spots is because their spots helps them blend into their surroundings so they can surprise their prey. So the more spots, the more the cheetah blends in.
